With the date of entry in the German Commercial Register, MHPSE will take on and continue all the operations of MH Power Systems Europe Service GmbH. Some 140 staff in the Duisburg-Rheinhausen office block will move across to the MHPSE offices at the Duisburg Inner Port at the turn of the year. Up to 90 others will continue to be employed in field service.

MHPSE took full control of what was previously "Xervon Energy GmbH" in 2012. MH Power Systems Service operates internationally in energy generation and plant service. Its divisions of Boiler & Firing Technology, Flue Gas Cleaning, Mills & Turbine Service, Erection Work, Start-up and Spare Parts Management ensure that fully-developed services are available for upgrading power plant and firing systems of various designs and sizes for all conventional fuels.

"The integration allows us to access much more intensively the network and product range within the internationally operating Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Group with its 23,000 workforce", explains Rainer Kiechl, Chairman of the MHPSE Board of Directors. "This creates a greater degree of clout for our service business."

Dr. Frank Schumacher, who up to now has been working in the subsidiary, takes up his appointment as Director of "Service (Utility & Industrial)" at MHPSE. The increasing age of coal/gas power plants and industrial firing installations as well as more exacting environmental protection requirements are resulting in an increased demand for optimization work, retrofits and similar services in many markets. Dr. Frank Schumacher: "As an integrated division within MHPSE with the opportunity of accessing the well-proven and established processes in the Group, we can meet this demand more rapidly and efficiently."
