AIR QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEMS (AQCS)

Mitsubishi Power, Ltd. is the world leader in Air Quality Control Systems, combining the selective catalytic reduction (SCR), electrostatic precipitator (ESP), and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) technologies to provide comprehensive means for purifying exhaust gas emissions from fossil fuel power plants.

With the advent of the new air pollution norms for thermal power plants in India, notified by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change of India on December 7, 2015, MPW-IND is the forefront for providing optimum solution for AQCS projects to meet the norms and the requirements specified by the Indian Customers.

Mitsubishi Power India has the licnese of wet limestone Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) technology of Mitsubishi Power Japan and we are executing brown field FGD projects as an EPC contractor for NTPC in its power plant units mentioned below.

  • Mouda Stage II 2 * 660 MW Mouda Super Thermal Power Plant
  • Rihand Stage II & III 4 * 500 MW Rihand Super Thermal Power Plant
  • Farakka Stage-I, II & III (3 x 200MW + 2 x 500MW + 1 x 500MW) Super Thermal Power Plant

Mouda Stage II

Mitsubishi Power India Private Limited (MP IND) was awarded installation of wet limestone Flue-Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) systems at 2 x 600MW Mouda-II Coal Fired Power Plant from India’s Public Sector Utility National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).This project aims to use cutting-edge FGD systems to reduce emissions of sulfur oxide (SOx), helping to reduce air pollution which occurs from the flue gas discharge in the Environment.

MP IND shall install FGD systems at Mouda-II coal fired Power Plant includes Engineering, Procurement and Construction and This marks the first order received by MHPS-IND for wet limestone FGD system in Indian market. It absorbs SOx and produces gypsum as by-product.This Project is scheduled for completion in 2024.

Mouda Stage II

Rihand Stage II & III:

Mitsubishi Power India Private Limited (MP IND) received an order for installations of wet limestone Flue-Gas Desulphurisation(FGD) systems at 4 x 500MW Rihand-II & III Coal Fired Power Plant from India’s Public Sector Utility National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). This project aims to use cutting-edge FGD systems to reduce emissions of sulfur oxide (SOx), helping to reduce air pollution which occurs from the flue gas discharge in the Environment. MP IND shall install FGD systems at Rihand-II & III coal fired Power Plant which includes Engineering, Procurement, Construction and commissioning. This Project is scheduled for completion in 2025.
