Gas Gas Heater / Non-Leakage Gas Gas Heater (GGH)
GGH is an exhaust gas reheating system for FGD plants that performs heat exchange by circulating heat medium water between the heat recovery unit and the reheater unit. Heat recovery unit at upstream of electrostatic precipitator, also Reheater unit is set at downstream of wet FGD.
This GGH has no-leakage of untreated flue gas from Boiler unit, thus, whole Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS) with non-leakage GGH has high-effiency removal ratio of SO2 and Fly ash.
In order to meet strictly emission regulation in Japan, GGH is essential device in AQCS.

Replacing GGH bundles
Using a 550-ton large crane, large and heavy bundles of more than 30 tons were replaced safely in a short construction period. For the upgraded bundle, various improvements have been made to extend the service life.

With the integration of the thermal power system business between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi, the Babcock-Hitachi’s desulfurization equipment and GGHs are now also our service coverrage. Modification and replacement with improved bundle are also carried out utilizing the integration of both companies’ design know-how.
