FT8® MOBILEPAC®Gas Turbine Package

The FT8®MOBILEPAC® gas turbine package requires a small footprint utilizing an 80-by-54-foot area in parallel configuration. The aero-derivative FT8 MOBILEPAC package design is fast to deliver, install, and produce power, and the ideal solution for peaking or grid-firming applications.

Very little advanced site preparation is required, and no foundation or concrete pad is necessary for installation of the unit. The unit is transportable by land, sea, or air and modularly packaged for quick, worldwide delivery and installation.

Features

  • A new MOBILEPAC® gas turbine package can be assembled and generating power within a few weeks of arrival at a site.
  • The standard package can easily be reconfigured to operate at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
  • The trailers run on public roads for prompt use as an emergency power source.
  • The major components are packaged into two trailers to enable complete installation for emergency power generation within one day (pre-commissioned and site-ready units.)
  • Compact enough for air transport to minimize delivery time (in addition to land and ocean transport).
  • The advanced package design eliminates the need for concrete foundations, thereby reducing the cost and time required to complete installation.

Solution

In addition to using the MOBILEPAC® unit (movable, dual-frequency power station) as an emergency power source for disasters and big events, we propose that customers make the most of the features of the MOBILEPAC® unit as a temporary power source for operation during the construction of large power plants.

  • If surplus power is to be transmitted in addition to the power source for construction work, the MOBILEPAC® unit is very useful in countries with tight electricity supplies.
  • The trailers can run on public roads The MOBILEPAC® unit is easy to disassemble, and can be moved easily to the next construction site and reassembled once a power plant is completed. This portability cuts the cost of using a temporary power supply facility.
  • The MOBILEPAC® unit also can provide a power source during periodic inspections.
