FT8® SWIFTPAC® Gas Turbine Package

The FT8® SWIFTPAC® gas turbine package offers 30 or 60 MW of power. The package design includes an enclosed driver assembly incorporating the gas generator, power turbine, exhaust collector box, inlet plenum, and lube system. These factory-assembled modules allow the FT8® SWIFTPAC® power plant to generate power in less than 30 days after arriving on site.

Features

  • Site installation work is reduced by use of standard factory assembled modules.
  • No cooling water equipment is required; installable in inland areas, etc. where water is difficult to arrange
  • Fully automated operation; fully operable at unattended sites
  • Suitable for barge power generation and offshore power generation
  • The free turbine construction of the power turbine (PT) enables a configuration independent of an air compressor, allowing use for pipeline gas compressors requiring variable rotating speed control and a driving pump with mechanical drive.

SWIFTPAC®30

Solution

  • A system (FT8® SWIFTPAC® 60) with two gas turbines in twin configuration driving one generator helps reduce the construction unit cost and installation area per output.
  • Individual smaller HRSG/SCR recommended for each engine.
  • The free turbine construction of the power turbine (PT) eliminates the need for reduction gears and helps reduce the capacity of the lubricating oil equipment while improving performance.
  • No clutch is needed during synchronous condensing operation (control of system voltage by monitoring).
